About Us

Dealer Tools. Dealer Training.
Any Car in the Lot.

We’re the all-makes service side of the Lasco Auto Group in Grand Blanc — and the combination of certifications in our bays is one you won’t find at a tire chain.

Who We Are

A Dealer Service Drive That Takes Every Make

Lasco Auto Repair & Tire is the service department at 5470 Ali Drive in Grand Blanc, part of the Lasco Auto Group alongside Grand Blanc Mitsubishi and Lasco Ford in Fenton.

We’re telling you that up front on purpose. Being dealer-backed is the reason we can do things a tire chain can’t — it isn’t something to hide behind a generic shop name.

What it means practically: the training, the tools and the manufacturer data are all dealer-grade. What’s different is that we point all of it at whatever you drive.

Our Technicians

Certified by Two Makers.
Qualified on the Rest.

Our technicians hold factory certifications from more than one manufacturer — Ford and Mitsubishi both — and our master technicians are qualified across all makes and models. That combination is genuinely unusual. A tire chain can hire good people, but it cannot send them to a manufacturer’s training program, because it isn’t a franchised dealer. We can, and we have.

Most dealers treat factory certification as a boundary — proof they should work on their own brand and a quiet suggestion that you go elsewhere with anything else. We treat it as a floor. The diagnostic discipline you learn getting certified on one manufacturer’s vehicles is the same discipline that finds an intermittent electrical fault on any other.

That’s the whole idea behind this shop: bring the standard up, not the customer list down.

What That Buys You

Four Things a Chain Can’t Offer

Manufacturer recall and TSB access

We check your VIN against manufacturer records on every visit. Open recalls are repaired at no charge — and plenty of people are driving around with one they don’t know about.

Factory diagnostic equipment

With current calibration data, which is what actually matters on ADAS, hybrid and high-voltage systems. A generic scan tool reads a code; this tells you what’s wrong.

Documented service history

Recorded in the manufacturer’s national system, which supports resale value and certified pre-owned eligibility later on.

The jobs others turn away

ADAS calibration, hybrid and plug-in high-voltage work, and real electrical diagnosis. These are the three things quick-lubes send people away for.

How We Work

The Part Most Shops Get Wrong

Cox Automotive found that the top two reasons people stop returning to a service department aren’t bad repairs. They’re unexpected costs and poor communication.

So: free quotes, a written itemized estimate before anyone picks up a wrench, and a phone call the moment a job looks like it will run past what we quoted. You can keep your old parts — Michigan law gives you that right and we’ll box them up if you ask. And we’ll tell you plainly when something can wait.

Federal law protects your right to service your vehicle anywhere you like without touching your factory warranty. We’re not going to imply otherwise. We’d rather earn the next visit.

Where We Work

What Areas Does Lasco Auto Repair & Tire Serve?

We’re on Ali Drive off S Saginaw, minutes from I-75 and Hill Road. Most of our customers come from Grand Blanc and Grand Blanc Township — including the 48507 side of the Saginaw and Hill corridor, which carries a Flint mailing address but is Grand Blanc as far as anyone living there is concerned. We also see plenty of drivers from Burton, Davison and Swartz Creek.

Questions

Straight Answers

Are you a dealership or an independent shop?

Both, in the way that matters to you. We are the all-makes service side of Grand Blanc Mitsubishi, part of the Lasco Auto Group. That means dealer-level training, dealer-level tools and manufacturer data — on whatever you drive, whether or not we sell that brand.

Why should I come here instead of a tire chain?

Tools and training, mostly. Our technicians hold factory certifications from more than one manufacturer, we have factory diagnostic equipment with current calibration data, and we can check your VIN against manufacturer recall records. Aftermarket chains have none of those, and it shows up on exactly the jobs that are hardest to get right.

Do you actually work on all makes?

Yes. Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Honda, Toyota, Jeep, Ram, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Subaru and the rest. Factory certification is where our technicians start, not where they stop.
