Pricing

Every Quote Is Free.
Every Estimate Is in Writing.

We don’t publish a price list, and there’s an honest reason for that. Here’s exactly how pricing works here, and what you can expect before you hand over your keys.

Straight Talk

Why There’s No Price List Here

Plenty of shops advertise a headline number. It gets you in the door, and then the number changes, because the advertised price covered one specific scenario and your vehicle wasn’t it.

The same brake job on two identical trucks can differ by a couple hundred dollars depending on what the rotors look like once the wheel comes off. Michigan winters make that gap wider, not narrower — road salt does things to brake hardware and suspension components that no price list anticipates.

So we quote your vehicle instead. It’s free, it takes one phone call or one visit, and the number you get is the number you pay.

How It Works

From Question to Quote

Call or bring it in

Tell us what it’s doing. Free either way, and you don’t need to know the part name.

We look at the actual vehicle

Brake inspections, battery tests and check-engine scans are free. For most jobs, this is where the real number comes from.

You get a written estimate

Parts, labor, shop supplies and disposal fees, itemized. Michigan law requires this above $50 and requires your approval before it’s exceeded.

You decide — no pressure

Take the estimate home if you want. It’s yours. If something is safety-critical we’ll say so plainly, and if something can wait we’ll tell you that too.

We call before we exceed it

Work stops and the phone rings. You approve or you don’t.

What You Get

Free on Every Visit

Free quotes and estimates

On any repair, any make. No charge, no obligation, no “bring it in and we’ll see.”

Free brake inspection

On the lift, wheels off, measurements shown to you. No purchase necessary.

Free battery and charging test

Before the first cold morning, ideally — not after.

Free check-engine scan

We’ll pull the codes and tell you what they mean. No appointment needed.

Free multi-point inspection

Every visit, including an oil change. You get the results, not a sticker.

Free VIN recall check

Direct manufacturer access to recall and TSB data. Open recalls are free to fix.

Paying For It

If the Timing Is Bad

Repairs don’t wait for payday. We offer Sunbit service financing so you can spread the cost over time. Ask about it when you check in and we’ll walk you through what’s available.

And if money is tight, say so. We’ll tell you honestly what has to happen now for the vehicle to be safe and what can reasonably wait until next month. That conversation is free too.

Questions

Straight Answers

Why don't you publish prices on this page?

Because a number on a web page and the price of your repair are two different things more often than we would like. The same brake job on two trucks of the same year can differ by a couple hundred dollars depending on what the rotors look like when we pull the wheel. We would rather quote your vehicle for free than publish a number that turns into an awkward conversation at the counter.

Is the quote really free?

Yes. Quotes and estimates are free, and brake inspections, battery tests and check-engine scans are free. If a fault needs extended diagnostic time to track down, we tell you what that will cost before we start.

Will the final bill match the estimate?

That is the whole point of the estimate. Michigan law requires a written estimate before work begins on any repair over $50, and requires your approval before exceeding it. If we find something else once we are into the job, work stops and we call you.

Are shop supply and disposal fees extra?

They appear on the estimate, before you approve it — not as a surprise line on the invoice.

Can I finance a repair?

Yes. We offer Sunbit service financing. Ask us at check-in and we will walk you through it.

Is dealer service more expensive?

Usually not. Cox Automotive's 2025 study put the average dealership repair at $261 against $275 at general repair shops. Kelley Blue Book describes the belief that dealers always cost more as perception bias rather than reality.

Book It Online. Takes About a Minute.

Or call and talk to a person. Both work.
