Why Lasco

What’s Actually in Our Multi-Point Inspection?

A real look at the car, not a sticker and a wave — and you’ll usually see it yourself, on video.

What It Is

A Real Physical Check, Not a Formality

A multi-point inspection means a technician physically looks at the major systems on your vehicle — brakes, tires, steering and suspension components, fluid levels and condition, belts and hoses, battery and charging system, and lighting — not just the one thing you came in for. It’s included free with service, with no purchase requirement attached to it.

How You See It

You’ll Usually See It Yourself, on Video

When we do a multi-point inspection, you’ll typically get a texted link to a video walkthrough of what the technician found — and this is the part most shops skip: it shows you what’s fine, not just what needs attention. You see the good news alongside anything we think is worth watching or fixing, so you’re not just taking our word for either one.

Nothing gets added to your bill because of something the video shows. If a recommendation comes out of the inspection, you’ll see it, understand why, and decide — on your schedule, not while your car is up on the lift.

Why It Matters

Why This Actually Matters

Poor communication is consistently flagged as one of the top reasons customers stop coming back to a shop. A video you can actually watch, showing the actual part on your actual vehicle, is a different kind of proof than a verbal “you’ll need new rear brakes soon eventually.” You can see the wear yourself, ask a specific question, and decide with real information instead of trusting a description over the phone.

What Happens Next

What Happens If Something Needs Attention

If the inspection turns up something worth addressing, you get a written estimate before any work begins — Michigan law requires that above $50, and we’d do it regardless. If the job turns out to run more than 10% or $10 over that estimate once we’re into it, we call before we go further. Nothing about the inspection process skips that step.

Questions

Straight Answers

Does the inspection cost anything?

No — it's free, with no purchase requirement attached. That's true whether or not anything comes out of it.

Do I get the video every single visit?

You'll typically get one whenever we perform a multi-point inspection as part of your visit — it's not tied to a specific service type, but it is tied to the inspection actually being done.

What does the video actually show?

Both sides of the story — the things we checked that are fine and don't need attention, and anything we think is worth watching or addressing. It's not an upsell reel; showing you what's fine is part of the point.

Do I have to approve anything before you act on what the inspection finds?

Yes. Nothing gets added to your service because of something the inspection turns up without you seeing it and deciding first.
